We have built this Resto-Mod Corvette to look as original as we could, a '67 Z06 if you will. It is equipped with an LS-7 427 with an upgraded cam and reprogrammed computer to produce 638hp. The LS-7 is a new GM crate motor with the upgraded performance, polished block and custom made Billet serpentine belt system, custom made headers and a dual Spectre air filter system that was all done by Street and Performance. A Dewitt aluminum radiator with electric fans keep it running cool. We have mated the LS-7 with a TKO-600 manual 5-speed transmission. The chassis was custom built by Hedges Speed Shop out of Fresno, CA. It has been upgraded with late model front and rear suspension and Z06 brakes and calipers. Sticking with the Z06 theme, we equipped it with aftermarket Z06 wheels, 17" front and 18" rear. Power brakes and steering are powered by a Hydraboost braking system that stops on a dime. The only body modifications are the mild rear flares to allow for the rear tires. The flares are tastefully done and are almost unnoticeable. The flares were done as a whole rear quarter panel replacement. The paint is Glasurit and is beautiful. The original convertible top bows are fitted with a black Al Knoch vinyl top. The interior looks stock. The '67 seats are black leather. The gauges look stock, but the tach and gas gauge are converted and the amp gauge has been converted to volts. It has a tilt Flaming River column. The air conditioning system is from Classic Auto Air and we have moved the radio side panel vents to the center of the dash for an original look. A custom sound system with a port for an iPod and additional speakers were added in the rear and kick panels. LS-7, 5-speed, power brakes, power steering, power windows, power antenna, leather seats, tilt column and air conditioning. Less than 300 test miles, no expense spared and real fast.
