VW only produced 25 of the Model 795 Things in model years of 1973 and 1974. This rare 1973 is the result of a complete body-off restoration by Larry Dustmann of The Thing Shop. Every part and surface has been replaced with new or rebuilt parts. Many parts have been powdercoated. This vehicle includes a new convertible top and frame, new upholstery with powdercoated seat frames and new side curtains. This car also has the completely rebuilt, rare and working Eberspacher BN4 gas heater under the front hood. This car looks and drives like it just came off of the assembly line; inside and out.
