Description
Lot #766 - Titled as an early 1900's Overland, this Manure Spreader is know as the TEXAS BULLSHIT SCRAPER! This was reported to be built in the early 70's by a Hollywood Rod Shop for Bob Hope and was given to John Wayne as birthday gag gift. Purchased this thing from Texas millionaire estate. I was told that he bought it with the documentation from the Auto Toy Store. The Wagon sat in a barn on the property of the Texas millionaire for several years until the estate was Auctioned off due to his death, the documentation has since been misplaced and only he knows where it is and he ain't talkin. I can say that I traced down Bob Hopes secretary of 14 years, and she did say although that was before her employment, Bob did the gag gift thing all of the time for his friends. Michael Wayne was un-available for comment. I have since restored the wagon, and left it much the way it was built originally except for disc brakes and seat belts to make it street legal, 283cid small block Chevy V8, Powerglide tranny.
