Lot #632.1 - Presenting the first documented production "Bop Top" Hi-Boy that was featured at SEMA. The top was designed by Sid Chavers and the letter documenting the Bop Top and the brochure with the Hi-Boy pictured in it is included with the sale. This Hi-boy was professionally built and no expense was spared. The Westcott body panel fitment is amazing. It has a Moises 2" chopped windshield with side mirrors, Rootlieb steel hood and rumble seat. It has been finished in Washington blue with flames. The paint is beautiful and very deep. The undercarriage was also painted the same color and is as clean as the top. It is wrapped in 15" American Racing wheels with BFGoodrich tires. The exterior is complimented with a gray and blue deluxe interior. Some upgrades include Steward Warner gauges, banjo steering wheel with tilt column and Kenwood sound system. The heart of this highboy is a 383 stroker engine built by the Reggie Jackson Performance Center. The block was painted to match the car and it is equipped with Dart heads and many other high end parts. It has a lot of power. The Griffin radiator with an electric fan keeps the engine cool. It breathes through ceramic coated shorty headers and Pro Flow exhaust system. The engine is coupled with a Turbo 400 transmission and Ford 9" rear end with posi-traction. It sits on a custom built Magoo chassis that has been completely boxed. The front suspension is a complete chromed I-beam with 4" dropped axle and the rear suspension is a complete chromed 4-link system with coilovers by Aladin. Some other upgrades include a polished driveshaft, polished brake and fuel lines, stainless fuel tank, an Optima battery stored in a custom built polished box under the passenger seat and much more.
