Lot #756 - This custom-built Hi-Boy roadster is based on a Hardwood body and packs Chevrolet big-block power. In contrast to the usual black-on-black color scheme, this one opts for Lexus Pearl White on both the body and the frame emphasizing the '32's classic shape and providing a sharp contrast to its chromed suspension and trim. Staggered-sized Hoosier radial tires on 15" Budnik billet aluminum wheels are central to the Hi-Boy look, emphasized with a low-profile Sid Charles bop-top, chopped windshield and open engine compartment. Occupying that space is a 502/600hp dual 4-barrel equipped big-block V8 built by Blueprint Engines and sporting funny car-style "Zoomie" exhaust headers with inline sound suppressors. A Lokar-shifted automatic and chromed Ford 9" rear end finish the drivetrain. The interior is clean and uncluttered with sharp pleated upholstery, hand fitted carpeting, billet controls and Auto Meter gauges set into a central aluminum bezel. All these elements together in a smart-looking and highly individualistic machine that remains faithful to the original Hi-Boy formula.
