Lot #354 1935 FORD MODEL 48 PHAETON 4 DOOR CONVERTIBLE
Lot #354 - Ford's redesigned cars for 1935 came with an upgraded version of their excellent 221cid Flathead V8, new hydraulic brakes and revised suspension, all of which helped it outsell Chevy. However, less than 1% of these cars were produced as the top-of-the-line 4-door convertible Phaeton. This Deluxe Phaeton is a superb example that was restored in the early 1990s. It arrives out of a major collection where it has resided for the past decade. The car features the original optional AM radio, wing windows, side curtains and the deluxe chrome and stainless exterior trim. It also wears its original Kelsey Hayes painted wire wheels, with proper wide whites and correct Vineyard Green paint over brown "veal grain" interior. This is a very unique opportunity to own one of the finer examples of this model.
