Description
Lot #453 - Catagory 1 certified original car by the Auburn-Cord Duesenberg Club first place, class, ACD Auburn, Indiana show 2000 first place, senior, MOTAA, June 2001. One of an estimated 29 completed of the "100 handbuilt" Cords completed by factory in 1935. One of eight known by ACD club to still exist. This car was given to Portor Gorton by E.L. Cord for his tremendous efforts in getting the Cord into production for the all important 1935 auto shows. I interviewed Mr. Gorton and have a tape where he states these facts and that this car went to the Chicago show. He stated he added the accessory trunk which is a correct option.
