Lot #997 - This 1940 ford pickup was discovered in northern nevada. It was a frame off restoration using heidt's mustang ii front with carrea coil overs and 11-inch power disc brakes. Ford 8-inch drum brake rear end tci suspension. The chassis rides on firestone's with original boyd's 15-inch wheels. Turbo 350 transmission, and 350 cubic inch 350 horsepower balanced engine are by jack landis and mike hughes at landis inc. Bodywork by bob harrison of crown auto body. The dodge driftwood with blue pearl coat paint and flames with chrome illusion highlights are by pete harris of mound house nevada. The body features a v butt windshield, smoked glass, rolled rear pan, flush turn and brake lights. A third brake light is installed in the cab belt line. The red oak bed wood has ss strips. The two colors of gray leather interior is by classic of sparks and features 6-way power seats, the overhead console with window and stereo controls rests on a tweed headliner. Carpet is grey wool with a tweed insert. The dash has hidden ac controls, gold trimmed vdo gauges and grant steering wheel and chrome ididit column.
