1948 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL COUPE
*Includes Buyer Commission
Lot #927 - The current owner first laid eyes on this Lincoln when his Uncle showed up at the family picnic in it in 1948. He was only 19 and car crazy. He told his uncle that when he was ready to trade it, he would buy it. His uncle usually never kept a car long. He retired in 1956, and moved to Boise, ID. He still came to the picnics every year driving the Lincoln and he kept reminding him of his statement. His uncle finally gave up driving it and started flying down for a few more years. In 1976 he told me "you've been pressuring me long enough. If you still want the car, you bring your dad up to Boise in October, we'll go fishing and talk about it, and if you plan on driving it home, bring some new tires for it." It still has the original ones on it. He also said "and bring me some money." This car has been maintained and stored since acquiring it. Comes with original registration, operator's manual, service polices and records from 1948 to 1970. New custom car cover.
