Lot #690 - This car has benefitted from a full frame-off, comprehensive restoration by Tom and Randee Rocke, completed especially for this auction. This 1954 Austin-Healey 100 is painted using DuPont two-stage polyurethane 5-star chroma base silver with an interior finished in red vinyl with matching English wool carpeting and special ordered red armachord trunk kit. New red Everflex soft top and tonneau cover along with side curtains have been fitted to the car. Additional features of the restoration include, BN2 late engine, 4-speed transmission, and overdrive have been rebuilt using all new parts. Twin 1? H.4 S.U. carburetors, completely rebuilt with polished domes, "LeMans" kit which includes a cold air box, distributor, rebuilt 140mph and 6,500rpm original gauges, LeMans dash plates, aluminum louvered bonnet with "LeMans" regulation leather bonnet strap and a late series BN2 4.11 differential with 4-wheel hydraulic concentric ring jet-coated drum brakes. Jet coated exhaust manifold and new steel exhaust system, new brake lines, new master brake and slave cylinders, new fuel lines, fuel pump and refurbished gas tank. Polished side plate, polished aluminum cooling fan and new 4-row radiator. All new electrical components and cloth wiring harness, new MotoLita type steering wheel, drop-down racing windshield, aluminum front and rear shroud, original heavy gauge rechromed bumpers, 48-spoke chrome wire wheels with new road speed American tires and spare tire. British Heritage Trust certificate and full photo documented restoration.
