Lot #1306 - Buick Skylarks represent the last of the great hand-finished cars from GM in the fifties. This is rare body Number 669 of only 836 units made. Standard Century convertibles were taken off the line and received the distinctive hand-finished Skylark finned rear deck. Other custom features borrowed from Buick's experimental car, "The Wildcat," included the removal of the portholes, flat stainless sweep spear, full wheel cutouts with painted coves, full Skylark-only leather and Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels. Skylarks sold for more than a Cadillac. This beautiful previous California Skylark has benefited from an older complete body-off restoration to a high quality professional standard. A pictorial documentation is included. Equipment includes Buick`s Fireball V8 engine, Twin Turbine Dynaflow, power steering, power brakes, 4-way power seat, power top, windows and telescopic antenna, Easy Eye Glass, Selectronic radio, Weather-Warden heater and defroster and white wall tires.
