Description

Lot #201 - Later these cars were nick named "Baby Birds" due to the massive size that the cars turned into in the late 60's. This Baby Bird was purchased from Ron Peters (Author of the book "Baby Birds") Ron purchased from the original owner as shown on the attached original invoice. After being purchased by Ron Peters the car was sent to Gil Baumgartner, who is the National Authenticity Chairman for the Thunderbird Club. He also is well known for his restorations of Baby Birds in his shop in California. This car has a fresh frame off restoration to concourse factory quality. Not over restored. All factory imperfections where left just the way it was when sold new in 1955. It is all original in equipment and power-train. Very rare non porthole to the tops, so it is rare to find one without the porthole. Also very rare is the 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Please take the time all look under this car it is impressive to say the least! Power steering, power brakes, power seats, factory Kelsey Hayes wires, and a true born red paint and two tone red and white interior makes for the car of your dreams, and drives like one too.
