Lot #79 - The original and sensational Ford Thunderbird. Debuting at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954 these Sports Cars proved to be an instant success. This beautiful "Bird" was the recipient of a complete restoration by Thunderbird specialist, Jewel. This exquisite piece features the factory 292 ci, 193 hp engine with the ultra rare overdrive transmission, Thunderbird Blue paint finish with Turquoise and White interior, removable hardtop (White), Black soft top, AM radio, telescopic steering column, heater, "see clear" windshield washer system, fender skirts, power seat, full gauges with tachometer and clock, factory full disc hubcaps, back-up lamps, front bumper guards, dual exhaust, exiting through rear bumper guards, owners manual, electrical manual, operators manual and Thunderbird History Book. Full documentation outlining the entire restoration which was completed only 5,900 miles ago. A great opportunity to acquire one of the original sporty, two-seater Thunderbirds.
