Lot #516 - This Thunderbird had a ground-up restoration when it had 44,000 miles on it. It currently has 46,405 miles, not represented on the title. It has matching body and engine numbers. The original porthole hardtop and white convertible top are included. Among the most charismatic of collectible cars is the 1956 T-bird having the unique and classiest color of the 1950s called Peacock Blue. It has a factory dress-up kit that includes the Continental tire kit, fender skirts and chrome parts added in the engine compartment. This T-bird also has the five Kelsey Hayes chrome wire wheels designed for Thunderbirds. The 312ci engine and transmission were rebuilt. The undercarriage was powder coated to prevent rust on the clean original body. The effort was to provide perfection in a classic auto for a drivers safety while appearing as a brand new car. It received a concours primary division award at the Vintage Thunderbird International Convention on August 9th, 2008, award does not go with car. This car has received a full service and maintenance. The current owner has had this T-bird stored and cared for in a temperature-controlled environment. All features of the car are operational. The Thunderbird is an easy, smooth and reliable driver. The original owner's manual, parts book, and repair manual come with the car.
