Lot #196 - 1956 lincoln continental mark ii. These cars were introduced in the 1955 paris auto show and was the most expensive car built in america in 1956. These hand assembled cars were $10,400 and were purchased by the likes of the rockefellers, goldwaters, sinatra, cecil b demille, rj reynolds, elvis, bill harrah and the shah of iran. This continental mark ii is a well restored example with only 63,000 original miles and has the rare air conditioning package that was just totally rebuilt and works great. It has the 368 cubic inch motor with 285 hp. The car rides and drives excellent. An extremely high dollar car to restore. Good investment.
