Lot #1227 - This Buick is not your typical family wagon. Featured in the October 2006 edition of Super Rod. Built by Bright Built Hot Rods, this 1957 Buick boasts a built 454 Chevy crate motor attached to a 700 R4 transmission. It has a posi-traction rear end with 3.70 gears. It also has a BeCool radiator, Vintage Air and all new electrical. The exterior is DuPont's Orange Crush and accented with Rolls Royce Beige. The custom ultra-leather saddle tan and simulated ostrich print sunset orange two tone interior was sewn by Goldfield Trim. The interior also contains the exterior orange paint in some accent areas. The radio has been converted to an AM/FM that still looks original. There is a new tilt wheel column with the original steering wheel. The chrome and glass is all new and the stainless steel trim has been polished and straightened. The under body has been fully undercoated and the exhaust has been HPC coated. The car has 17" front and 18" rear custom Billet Specialties wheels and 4-wheel disc brakes. It has power windows designed to look like the old style roll ups and power looks with remote. No detail was overlooked in the completion of this one-of-a -kind hot rod wagon.
