Lot #675 - The 1957 Fuel Injected engine was the first factory production engine to have 1hp per cubic inch. This is an extremely rare high-horse 283/283hp Fuel Injected convertible with a fresh, professional, frame-off, rotisserie restoration completed in February 2008. The restoration wasn't just a cosmetic restoration, the engine was completely rebuilt, new correct solid lifter cam, Injection unit completely rebuilt and restored, the 3-speed transmission was also gone through replacing needle bearings and thrust washers. This turquoise time machine is the correct color, correct numbers on engine pad, correct interior, five new white wall tires, spinner wheel covers, all stainless and chrome restored and replaced. All new tinted correct date code glass, power top, deluxe heater, backup lights, etc. '57 Chevys are the most well known, desirable collector cars in existence and it just doesn't get any better than a '57 Fuelie convertible.
