Lot #958 - A true survivor, first owner had auto for 55 years in California. Rare automatic 2-speed Powerglide transmission, 245hp, rare high performance FG Code dual carburetor 283cid motor. Rare Aztec Copper exterior paint scheme, second rarest color that year with two tone beige cove and beige vinyl upholstery interior with Daytona weave carpets. AM radio with Wonder Bar, lift-off hardtop and softtop with power option. Gauges in working order. The exterior paint mostly original with little evidence of minor repairs. Beige upholstery and vinyl seats with burlap covered springs. Hand brake alarm. Owners manual. Recent Firestone Deluxe Champion white walls correct for the time. The car was inspected by Jeff Hyman of Classic Auto Appraiser and comes with a full inspection report verifying its originality. All original matching numbers drivetrain as verified in the report. This Corvette represents a good overall example of a virtually all original, unrestored classic American sports car. Fun to drive. This is extremely rare to find a 56-year-old Chevrolet Corvette as original, untouched and unmolested as this true survivor. Truly a great car.
