Description
Lot #1263.1 - Original 392/375 horsepower Hemi with dual quads. Engine and transmission have recently been completely, professionally rebuilt. Considered to be America's first true high performance "Muscle Car." A stock 300 C coupe ran 145 mph at Daytona Beach in 1957. This revolutionary Hemi Engine changed drag racing forever. In 1957 Don Garlits broke the 170 mph quarter mile record in 1958. He was the first to go over 180 mph, first to exceed 200 mph in 1964 and first to exceed 250 mph in 1975. This 300 C is a milestone in automotive performance and engineering. A true platinum American muscle car investment. ***BEING SOLD AS A PAIR WITH LOT 1264***
