Lot #1219 - 1957 was the first year Ford out sold Chevrolet since 1935. A remarkable rise for the dismal situation after World War II. Much of the credit goes to Henry Ford II and the '57 Ford Fairlane convertible. Fifty years ago a convertible would have been sold for $2,505 with options around $600.
