Lot #355 - Austin-Healey production started in 1953 with the 4-cylinder 100-4 model. In 1956 a new 6-cylinder model was introduced with revised body work to include two small rear jump seats for children. This particular 1958 Healey was recently purchased from an estate in Oregon and comes with a copy of the Oregon title showing one owner since 1963. It also has a British Heritage Build Sheet. A very extensive restoration was just finished in August, 2010 by John Wilson's Healey Lane Restoration of Oregon and 100 test miles were done. It is finished in the original Old English White exterior Sikkens base/clear paint with black leather and vinyl interior. It has the original factory hardtop, as well as a new softtop. The restoration included new chrome, rubber, hydraulic system, wiring harness, fuel system, re-plated original fasteners, stainless wire wheels with new tires, side curtains, carpet, extensive mechanical restoration, etc. Two upgrades were made and they are 3000 disc brakes and an overdrive transmission, which was an option, but this car came from the factory without overdrive. All 100-6's came from the factory with drum brakes on all four wheels. The body was stripped to bare metal and needed the very minimum body work to make it ready for paint. This is your chance to own a great Healey.
