Description

Lot #1088 - This is a 1959 Corvette Resto-Mod that was meticulously built and features an Art Morrison chassis with power steering. It has a C5 Corvette front suspension and a 9" Ford rear end with Strange Engineering axles and 3.70 gear posi-traction. The brakes are 13" Wilwood disc brakes with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers. This is a first-class driver with extremely good handling. The transmission is a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed and has a Lakewood bell housing. The engine was assembled by Jeff Lane of Hancock and Lane Racing. The engine is a 350 Chevy 4-bolt main with .060 over bore with coated pistons, COMP cams, roller lifters and rockers, and Brodix heads with 1963 to 1965 Rochester fuel injection. The engine was dyno tested by Preston Automotive Limited at 396.9hp at 5,200 rpm and torque of 412.7 ft/lbs at 4,900 rpm makes for a strong, drivable car. The power windows with comfortable genuine leather interior and convertible top were installed by Dean Simonson of Seattle. The modern paint scheme is an elegant twist to this 1950s vehicle. The body color is #354 BMW 2007 Titanium Silver metallic and the coves are #A36 BMW metallic Gray Charcoal. Billet Specialties custom wheels complete the look of this sleek Resto-Mod.
