Lot #481 - This Impala, nicknamed Project Cheemer, is powered by a BMW V12 engine and driveline. It incorporates fine American design along with European handling and performance. A well-thought-out and designed 5-year build, followed in Wheels magazine, produced this stellar show piece. It was voted Best Car in Sweden and shown all over the world picking up awards such as Boyd Coddington Memorial Award, John D'Agostino award, numerous national level First Place and Best of Show awards, Outstanding Engineering and Class awards at the Grand National Roadster show and Sacramento Autorama, as well as being invited to be shown at Blackie's Fresno Autorama an invite-only event. It was a Goodguys award winner as well. It has 4-wheel disc brakes, Air Ride suspension, power steering, power brakes, power windows, air conditioning, flush mounted windshield and rear windows, numerous body modifications, one-off wheels by Mike Curtis, body color underside with lots of attention to detail. It has two-tone Candy Green exterior and custom Cheemer logos throughout the car. It's also been featured in numerous magazines around the world and used in advertising commercials. Along with being a national show stopper, this car can actually be driven. In fact, it was driven from California to Colorado for the Goodguys show where it also received the Long Distance award. Awards do not go with the car.
