Lot #864 - This unrestored Corvette Convertible has a 327ci V8 with optional 300hp and 4-speed transmission. It is a two-owner car with just 62,000 original miles and is matching number. It is in original, but well maintained, condition with the exception of one paint refresh 29 years ago. This car has always been covered and stored in a climate-controlled garaged. This particular car comes with the optional 300hp engine that is very well mannered and perfect for all-around driving. It's weight saving aluminum 4-speed is fun to shift and a pleasure to drive. The engine compartment is per original with the exception of the much preferred aluminum Corvette 7-ribbed valve covers (non-original). It has 19 individual trophies. The fit is razor-straight and its Honduras Maroon paint which still maintains a beautiful sparkly glow with very few blemishes. This exterior color contrasts perfectly with the Fawn Beige interior. It's nicely optioned with AM-Wonder Bar radio, working heater, working electric wipers and the rare seat belt option. All instrumentation works as it should. It drives straight on its period correct 670x15 Firestone Deluxe Champion tires with 1" whitewalls mounted on stock 5" steel rims and adorned with original stainless Corvette spinner wheel covers. The new owner will receive all of the Corvette shop manuals, sales brochure and literature as well as the owner's manual, original engine chrome, the 19 trophies, as well as the convertible soft-top, factory hardtop and miscellaneous spare parts.
