Lot #448 1964 FORD FAIRLANE THUNDERBOLT RE-CREATION
Lot #448 - Has been completely restored just like the original by well-known Billy Johnson. The Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt was a very limited production, factory experimental drag race automobile built by the Ford Motor Company in 1964. This is a fresh build with all the correct options making it very desirable. The exterior Wimbeldon White shines beautifully and has all the correct decals. It has the correct fiberglass hood and fenders, chrome steel front and rear bumpers, new windshield and passenger side glass with correct clips. The interior is all new and has correct features such as seats, one-piece heater block plate, disclaimer tag on glove box door and 95lbs bus battery in the rear trunk compartment. The engine compartment is absolutely amazing. It features a period correct 427cid FE center oiler that has been completely rebuilt. With many Holman and Moody upgrades. Has Ford dual point distributor, Ford high volume fuel pump and two Holley 4 barrel 600cfm carburetors. It's cooled by a Crites aluminum radiator and stock fan. It breathes through Crites ceramic coated headers. The engine is coupled to a 1964 Top Loader close ratio 4-speed transmission. It has a Ford 11" clutch and pressure plate and Lakewood Bell housing. The Ford 9" rear end is also original to the car. It has Trac Loc with 4.11 gears. Front disc brakes were added for safety. The undercarriage is very detailed.
