Description
Lot #412.1 - Long considered the best of all the big Healeys, the 3000 MKIII was the last of the line, with it's roots dating back to the first Austin Healey, the 100, way back in 1953. The BJ8 series cars offered roll up windows, a true folding convertible top, and a more luxurious interior with a burl walnut dashboard and a center console. The car on offer is a BJ8 that was the subject of a complete ground up restoration done to show quality standards. The car is finished in the absolute best color, British Racing Green, has very good panel fit and the chrome is like new. The interior is excellent, with all new correct upholstery, new carpets, dash pad, and burl walnut dash. The top is new, and the car also includes a new top boot. The trunk is properly detailed as well. Mechanically the car is awesome. It runs and drives extremely well, and the engine compartment is show detailed. The values on big Healeys have been steadily climbing the last few years, and this trend seems to be destined to continue. The most desirable of the bunch is this, the 3000 MKIII. This is car has it all, a great restoration, the best color, & chrome wires, If you've always wanted a Healey, look no further
