Lot #154 - One of Ford's most popular cars ever, the Mustang has been in continuous production for more than 40 years! This early 1965 convertible was purchased new in December 1964 in Phoenix, Arizona. Originally a 289cid V8 with a 2-barrel carburetor, it now features a "Cobra" 302cid V8 bored .030 over for 307cid. Special Edelbrock "Performance" package gives 309 horsepower at 5000 RPM. Full Shelby suspension package and disc brakes complete the package. Original type wheels with 1" extra width rims! Underdash air conditioning, seatbelts added (front and rear seats). Very fast and very stable car! Complete frame-off restoration done by Glenn Shaffer. This car is a strong driver, a real "street-sleeper"!
