Description
Lot #403 - One of only 11,311 GTO convertibles made. This is a Pontiac Historical Society documented GTO, manufactured in Pontiac Michigan. It started life as a 389/335 horsepower 4 barrel (YS code) engine mated to a 2 speed Powerglide automatic transmission (J-code). Factory installed options were: Rally wheels, Red line tires, power trunk release, light package, power steering, power brakes, power top, AM radio, tinted glass and console. "Factory" options installed after production were: correct four-speed manual wide ratio (M-20) transmission (code W), and correct 1965 Pontiac GTO tri-power set up. now producing 360 horsepower. Although its entire ownership history is unknown, this vehicle has been licensed in Georgia, South Carolina and Arizona. Mileage is actual. A recent frame on restoration of its solid Southern body included a high quality re-paint in the original Mayfair Maize color (code Y) it has a nice Black (code 2) top with matching Black bucket seat interior (code 213-30) chrome, carpet and exhaust are as new. A solid investment with sheer fun of driving, this rare convertible, tri-power, 4 speed equipped car, shows pride of ownership. It is an excellent performer and is a reliable gold plated investment that will always remain strong.
