Description
Lot #1415 - CSX8004 is a 40th Anniversary Carroll Shelby Cobra Roadster CSX8000 series and is one of only three 289 "slabside" versions out of 40 cars produced in 2003-2004 to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the original Cobra. This is a genuine registered Shelby Cobra, made and authenticated by Shelby American, Inc., with an original Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) and inside of glove box signed by Carroll Shelby. CSX8004 is listed and described in the official World Registry of Cobras, 4th Edition. Hand-built by Shelby American, Inc., in Las Vegas, NV, in 2003 as a continuation Cobra, it replicates the style and design of the very first Cobra CSX2000, including leaf spring suspension. There are improvements for safety and drivability, such as rack & pinion steering, superior brakes, improved cooling, and heavy-duty Tremec 5-speed transmission. The body is fiberglass with aluminum fender and trunk lining. The engine is Ford Motorsport 302 GT 40 producing 320/345hp. The paint is 40th Anniversary Blue, the modern version of Guardsman Blue, but with a paint formula that can be duplicated if necessary. The wire wheels are 72-spoke heavy-duty chrome. The car has 6,219 original easy miles; mileage not indicated on title. It has never been raced or tracked. SB100 California smog exempt has a permanently affixed documentation on the vehicle. ** TITLED AS 0000 SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION**
