Lot #656.1 - Very well documented and numbers matching with 99% of its original parts bumper to bumper. Had 11,074 actual miles on the car when I purchased it in 1984. Car still has the same miles on it since complete nut and bolt rotisserie restoration. Car is a rare black with black/white interior and white top. Only a handful known to be made. One of the last convertibles in this color combination and options in 1966. Very well documented and numbers matching with 11,074 actual miles. This car has gone through a 2 year complete concours restoration to preserve its original birth parts, down to the chrome bumpers and emblems. Has its original console with original clock that still works. Has the original gauges, knee knocker tachometer, bucket seats and AM push-button radio. It still has 99% of its original body panels and floors. This was a 99% rust free car and stored since 1972. I have over 300 photos of the restoration of this car from start to finish including a DVD. The car was stripped to bare metal and dp 90 self etched to preserve its original sheet metal. This car was not covered in everyday bondo. It was coated in all metal from front to back. There is absolutely no bondo in this car. The metal work was done to extreme to give it that laser-straight body. The paint has 7 coats of Black Ebony urethane and 6 coats of urethane clear rubbed out to the show room finish. Motor, transmission and rear end have been gone through completely back to its original specs, including brakes and suspension with original twist shocks. Riveted ball joints and original GM battery. Has the original T3 headlights. Also the grille in this car is not aftermarket. This Chevelle has all its inspection tags back in place like it was when it rolled off the assembly line. I have all the books and papers that came with the car including the Protect-O-Plate, warranty book and Window Sticker. Also have a lot of other original documents to go with the car. It has won every show I have entered it in including KC Regional Top Three Chevelle and scored 972 out of a 1,000, Blue Angel Car Club - Best Paint and Best in Class, and First Place Best Car of the Show at the Wagoner Car Club Show. This car is truly a rare find for any collector. I have trailered this car to all the shows. It has never been driven on the roads since 1982. This car comes equipped with the original 396 engine with the EKH Holley option with a 2-speed Powerglide transmission and a 12-bolt 331 rear gear. Numbers matching.
