Description

Lot #937.1 - This Corvette started as a silver 1966 427/390hp coupe, original engine included with sale, with a 4-speed M22 transmission. It now has a 555cid Chevy built by BRE Performance, with 11:1 compression and 679hp at the wheels. It has a Richmond 6-speed transmission with a Lange shifter and an independent 9" Ford rear with a 2.84 ratio forged billet ring and pinion and a Strange aluminum carrier, built by Curry Enterprises. It has an aluminum 4-core high efficiency radiator with electric fans, a programmable MSD ignition and MSD fuel injection system with an Aeromotive fuel pump, Brodix aluminum heads, an internal regulator alternator and a Lakewood shatter-resistant bell housing. Internally it has J&E pistons, Carrillo rods and a cross-drilled forged crank with stud girdles. It has a Milodon 8-quart oil pan and a 360-degree Fluidamper balancer with a crank trigger. It has a 4130 chrome molly roll cage and Recaro adjustable seats with Simpson 5-point harnesses. The chassis has been plated and gusseted to exceed GM race strengthening recommendations for the '63 to '82 Corvettes. It has upgraded rear trailing arms with adjustable lower control arms, transverse fiberglass bow springs front and rear with Koni adjustable shocks, 255ZR40 X 18" front tires and 295ZR35 X 18" rears on Helio 18" X 10" aluminum wheels, Wilwood 6-piston front brakes and adjustable 4-piston rears with drilled and ventilated rotors front and rear. It has Hooker competition headers with 2 1/4" IO pipes and a 3 1/2" collector connected to a 3" dual exhaust with mandrel bends and Magnaflow mufflers. It has a custom silver coat of paint from 2009 with a clear vinyl protector on the leading edges.
