Lot #1653 - No expense was spared on this one-of-a-kind 1966 Chevy II. Before the beautiful black base coat/clear coat paint system was applied, the cowl, door handles and firewall were shaved. A Hardwood 4" cowl hood is used and has been designed to tilt forward. A custom rear bumper with cut outs for the exhaust tips was painted along with the front bumper in body color. All chrome on the body has been blacked out. When it comes to motivation, nothing beats the 350cid small block Chevrolet. To complement the rebuild, Summit Racing aluminum heads were used. Combined with a .030 over bore, it gives the engine a pump gas friendly 10.5:1 compression ratio. Intake is handled by an Edelrock manifold, Demon carburetor and a custom air cleaner. The coated headers and the Flowmaster mufflers give it the sound and the Griffin aluminum radiator with electric fan and aluminum water pump keep it cool. The custom engraved and polished valve covers and billet pulleys further enhance the engines appearance. The engine sits nicely in a completely custom fabricated show quality engine compartment. To handle the horsepower, GM's heavy duty T400 transmission with a shift kit and 2,500 stall converter were chosen. The rear end of the car has been mini tubbed to make room for the custom 18" Billet Specialties wheels. A rebuilt 9" Ford with 3.50:1 gears and a posi-traction unit are used. The rear chassis is a custom powder coated unit by TCI. The suspension is highly modified with Ride Pro E2 Air Ride by Air Technologies, stainless steel 4-link suspension and sway bar. Stopping power comes in the form of 4-wheel cross drilled and slotted 12" rotors, 4-piston calipers and billet master cylinder all from Wilwood. The front suspension is also from TCI. It features rack & pinion steering, Ride Pro E2 Air Ride, stainless steel upper and lower control arms, sway bar, 2" drop spindles and polished backing plates. The interior is completely custom with a full interior length console, custom dash and door panels, four Pro Car bucket seats, chrome tilt steering column with billet steering wheel, CD stereo system and 4-way controllers for the Air Ride suspension. The trunk is custom matched to the interior and has a drop down panel that hides the battery, all the electronics and the Air Ride management system.
