Originally sold by Wilson White Dodge in Huntsville, Alabama, to Mr. Charles Dodson of Decatur, for $4128.05. This HEMI spent the next 27 years being very well preserved in that salt-free Southern climate. This 1966 Coronet 500 HEMI has retained its original sheet metal that is rust free. The detail of the undercarriage and drivetrain is truly beautiful. It retains its original factory 425 horsepower 426 HEMI and two Carter AFB 4-Barrels, Header-style exhaust manifolds and open chamber cast iron heads, which have been rebuilt and beautifully detailed back to original specifications. Mr.Dodson, thankfully was one to save documentation for this special car including original Window Sticker, Warranty Certicard and Build Sheet. A rotisserie restoration was finished in 2004, that brought it back to its original condition. Every attempt was made to maintain originality and that was much easier because the great condition of this Southern car. No expense was spared during the restoration process. Everything was removed, stripped and refinished back to original. The beautiful Citron Gold with the black vinyl top looks better than the day it was made. The car has all its factory glass and interior, with the exception of the seat covers and carpet. This car not only has its original drivetrain but it has been faithfully restored to correct standards. One look at the under body on this Coronet and you immediately appreciate the quality we are talking about. This one hasn't been cut apart and welded back together, the panels and welds are factory original. The performance of this Mopar is amazing, from its 425+hp to its 727 Torqueflite transmission with Sure Grip differential and 3:23 gears, this old car will set you back in the seat. listed in Galen's Registry, has original window sticker, original warranty Certi-card, original vin plate and fender tag, original build sheet, and owner history. If you are looking for a car to show and enjoy the rarity and originality of, this is what you have been searching for.
