Lot #1526 - Here is one of the nicest Shelby Cobra replicas built. the car was painstakingly built to perfection by Gary Brown, owner of GB Racing & Rods up in the Northwest. This car was a class winner at the Grand National Roadster Show and also the Sacramento Autorama. It was a cover car and feature car in the Kit Car Builder Magazine in 2006 June issue. the engine compartment sports an original 427 side oiler which is still a standard bore motor with Lemans crank rods and pistons. The motor had been on display for 22 years in an auto parts store in Idaho. It was fully restored by Woods Performance including the M C duel four aluminum intake manifold and a pair of Holley 540 CFM carburetors which is pushing 465 horsepower. The power is transferred through a Tremec five speed transmission to a nine inch Ford positraction rear end. The suspension is carried by a pair of adjustable Carrera coil over shocks and heights polished A arms in the front and a pair of Alden coil over shocks to control the four-link rear suspension. For the braking power, Willwood eleven inch rotors and four-piston calipers are mounted in each corner. The wheels are Trego 8 X 15 front and 10 X 15 rear. The interior is wool carpeted and the seats are wrapped with European leather. The dash sports autometer gauges.
