Lot #682 - This '66 GT40 re-creation is as close to the original GT40 as you can get without having one of the original cars. It is so close to original that it is titled as a 1966 vehicle. The chassis was built by Superperformance in South Africa, and the drivetrain was built and installed by Holman Moody in Charlotte, NC. This car is fully street legal with all required lights and safety equipment for a '66 model vehicle. Also included are comforts like air conditioning, power brakes and steering. The 302 Ford has been built by Holman Moody to perform on the street and at the track. Special performance mods are too many to list, but this engine really runs. The 5-speed transaxle helps to deliver the power to the rear wheels and onto the street. The drivetrain install was just recently completed, so there are no miles on this new setup other than testing mileage. These cars are available from Superperformance, but expect a 9-12 month waiting period. Then you will have to install your own engine and transaxle. Save yourself the time and trouble with this ready to go GT40 re-creation.
