Lot #1103 - This 1967 L79 Marina Blue Corvette coupe is unrestored with original paint, interior, chassis and engine. A one-owner car until 2002 with 33,880 original miles. This is one of the best unrestored 1967 Corvettes left in existence. Awards include the NCRS 4-Star Bowtie Award in 2011 and several NCRS Chapter and Regional Top Flight awards. The most recent Top Flight award was achieved at the 2011 NCRS Winter Regional in Florida, earning a score of 96.6 percent. The NCRS Bowtie award is the most difficult awards to achieve for an original, unrestored Corvette. The car must achieve scores of at least 80-85% original in four categories (exterior, interior, chassis and engine). Other outstanding awards also include two Bloomington Gold Survivor awards. The original owner earned a Survivor award in 1990 (the first year Survivor Certification was available) and again most recently in 2011. The car is optioned with the L79 327/350hp engine, M20 4-speed manual transmission, J50 power brakes, U69 AM/FM radio, AB2 seat headrest, G81 posi-traction and P92 white stripe tires. The original tires are still with the car and also included are stock reproduction wheels, trim rings and tires for driving. It runs and performs as it did when new in 1967. The car still retains all original paperwork from new when delivered to Voss Motor Sales in Hinckley, IL. Documentation includes the original bill of sale, original Window Sticker, original Protect-O-Plate, original Tank Sheet (still on the tank), original owner's manual in plastic pouch, certificate of title from first owner in 1967, 11 years of insurance cards beginning in 1969, service receipts and pictures of the first owner (1967 thru 2002) with the car and his mechanic. All judging sheets, certificates and awards go with the car, including the NCRS Bowtie plaque, NCRS ribbons and Bloomington Gold Survivor Certification.
