Lot #430 - This is a new build Cobra re-creation with less than 200 test miles. It was built for safety first then performance and ease of maintenance. The safety features include a rare collapsible stainless steel steering column. The car has 4-wheel disc brakes all around. The front disc brake rotors are cross drilled and slotted for continued stopping power. The steering wheel is a race style removable wheel. It started with a factory built rectangular structural steel tube frame and body shell from Antique & Collectible Auto. The high performance suspension system includes fully adjustable coilover shocks all around, triangulated 4-link rear suspension and tubular front control arms all of which provide a comfortable ride as well as handling. The powertrain package is from Roush, the engine, bell housing, clutch and flywheel and enhanced T5 5-speed transmission. The rear end is a 9" Ford with open center section. The cowl has been insulated and covered with stainless steel panels for heat reduction inside the cockpit. The engine is a Roush 331 SRX. Engine is machined, balanced, assembled and Dyno tested. The aluminum radiator is a triple pass unit with a 3600 CFM electrical fan which gives excellent cooling. The frame has been powder coated, the headers are ceramic coated. Sidepipes are high heat treated and have stainless steel shields. The car is also equipped with a stainless steel roll bar and period correct wheels. The build book and receipts for all major components come with the car. This is a very well balanced and high performance Cobra re-creation.
