Lot #1228.2 - This Pro-Touring Camaro was restored so that the interior and exterior appear as stock looking as possible with a clean and all business look under the hood. Everything has been done with performance and drivability in mind. The car has been featured in Car Craft magazine and has won multiple Goodguys awards. It starts with an aluminum LS7 crate motor that has been modified to deliver 600hp and a smooth shifting Tremec T-56 6-speed manual transmission that was upgraded by Rockland Standard Gear. The Corvette C5 suspension up front is bolted to a 21st Century Street Machines subframe and in the rear the DSE quadralink is attached to a Currie 9" with 3.50 gears. The brake system includes a Hydartech hydroboost with Wilwood master cylinder and Corvette C6 Z06 brakes. A stainless steel gas tank built by Rick's Hot Rod Shop incorporates a Bosch fuel pump. Custom 1 7/8" ceramic coated headers flow to a 3" Magnaflow stainless exhaust with QTP electric cut-outs. The interior has Pearl Parchment deluxe upholstery, Vintage Air and stock console and gauges. The exterior has all the RS and SS appearance upgrades and the paint is close to the original Rallye Green but with gold pearl added for that extra pop. DSE minitubs, Fikse wheels and Michelin PS2 tires complete the Pro-Touring look. Since the restoration was completed in 2008, the car has been driven to car shows around the country. It is fast and can be driven anywhere with confidence.
