Lot #680 - Originally a 1968 Ford Mustang GT "S" Code fastback. Originally a Raven Black car with a 390 HiPo big block. This car was built on July 26th, 1968, at the Metuchen plant. It came from the factory with power steering and power brakes. This is a rare car as an original. There are many "Eleanor re-creations" out there. Very few actually have all the correct parts. This car was completely disassembled and put on a rotisserie for restoration. The frame was in excellent shape and needed no reconditioning with the exception of sand-blasting and minor cosmetic fixes. We used the original Meier Kit for the Eleanor fiberglass parts. This included the front fascia, fender flares, hood, taillight panel, end caps, upper and lower scoops and side exhaust skirts. There is an unheard of amount of hours in the body work alone. The result was unbelievable. The lines are perfect. Remote truck latch, correct Billet grille, Mach 1 gas cap and functional side exhaust. Original 60's model 390 high performance big block. The heads have the HiPo 14 diagonal bolt pattern. Engine work completed by Cropper Racing Engines in Kentucky. Bored .30 over. Heads ported and polished, Keith Black Hypereutectic pistons, Holley 670 Street Avenger, Edelbrock dual plan high rise intake, 400+hp, 390 HiPo Tri Y Headers into 3" functional side exhaust. In-line, optional secondary battery in trunk, Cobra valve covers and Breather, Classic Auto air conditioning, TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission, custom heavy duty 3:70 gear differential with positive traction, 4-wheel disc brakes, Grab-A-Trac performance spring and handling kit with correct lowering springs, correct aluminum dash and glovebox autographed by Carroll Shelby. Everything put in this car was brand new. Carroll Shelby signature embroidered front seats, Shelby floor mats, Shelby steering wheel, fire extinguisher between the seats, correct steering wheel tachometer, correct aluminum Eleanor foot pedals, correct Hurst shifter with "Go Baby Go" button, correct Nitrous switch, alarm system with door actuators, Sony high-end stereo with ABP (Active Black Panel), correct roll bar, nitrous switch actually controls an ignition shut-off switch for added security and correct PS Engineering 17" wheels. Rare parts correct to the movie car but rarely on Eleanor re-creations: PS Engineering wheels, PIAA lights, functional side exhaust, functional brake scoops, functional side fuel filler with Mach 1 gas cap and correct Ray Dot mirrors. No reproductions. Correct Shelby taillights with functional sequential lights. This car is a beautiful example of the Eleanor Mustang in "Gone in 60 Seconds."
