Lot #383 - The build date of the car is April 1968. The motor is a 383 Magnum, bored .030 oversize. This is not the original motor but is a 1969 with a build date of 1/24/69. It has new piston rings, new bearings and all rotating parts are balanced. Also has new pistons and 906 heads. It does have the right transmission with the correct date. The transmission has been rebuilt. All 1968 models did not have Hurst shifters. They were updated in Feb. 1968 with new release Hurst shifters. The pistol grips were not released until the 1970 model year. It has a new extra capacity radiator with electric fan. The front brakes have been converted to disc brakes but the rear brakes are original. The rear axle is a 8 3/4" Chrysler 3.55 with Auburn gears limited slip differential. The interior trim codes are gold/parchment and the exterior color is Medium Gold Metallic. Aftermarket wheels and new tires. There were 15,358 hardtops built in 1968.
