Lot #1547.1 - Z11 RS/SS Indy Pace Car. 350cid, 4-speed, Cowl Induction, headlight washers, power steering, power brakes, power top. Autographed by Mario Andretti, the winner of the Indianapolis 500. This car has the proper numbers and Cowl Tag plate to verify it as an original Pace Car. It is one of 3,675 produced under the production Pace Car Code "Z11". It was built at the Norwood, Ohio plant in the 4th week of March, 1969. The same time as those used at the race. The engine was replaced in the early 1970's with another Chevrolet 350. The transmission is the original Muncie 4-speed with Hurst shifter and linkage and the original 12-bolt posi-traction rear. A great piece of Camaro and Indy history.
