Lot #695 1969 CHEVROLET CORVETTE ZL1 COUPE RE-CREATION
Lot #695 - Only two ZL1 Corvettes were manufactured by GM, the rarest Corvette ever built. One was yellow and the other was white, this is a recreation of the white car. This 1969 ZL1 Corvette tribute car is the finest complete restoration of a ZL1 tribute car in the country, no detail was overlooked. Although the car is tribute the engine is the real deal. Brand new from Chevrolet. In 2003 Chevy produced 200 ZL1 all aluminum engines all with there own serial numbers making the engine alone a rare collector item. All of the engines have already been sold. This car was restored with engine serial number 51, GM has said they will not produce this engine again. Tooling for this engine is the same as what was used in the 427 ZL1 1969 Camaro's, only 69 were built. This ZL1 Corvette's options are: J.56 heavy duty brakes, F41 suspension, M66 transistor ignition, G81 posi rear axle, M-22 Muncie Ford speed rock crusher, A01 tinted glass, front louver trim and 2 1/2 inch side pipe exhaust and smog pump. According to the Bloomington Gold records these options came on the original white car which is now valued over $1,000,000. You must see this car even the experts are impressed. The parts alone on this car took over 2 years to find. We know of no other white tribute car that exists today.
