Lot #520.1 - You are viewing a beautiful 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 that is in excellent condition inside and out. It has been fully restored to the way it rolled out of the Norwood, Ohio, GM factory. This outstanding Camaro has been awarded the prestigious 2006 and 2007 Legends Concours Certification as a real and all matching original Z/28 at The American Camaro Association GM Nationals at Carlisle, 5000-point concours judging. It is also a Chevy 'Vettefest Gold Spinner Award Winner scoring 98.8%. This original 1971 Z/28 has received an extensive 3-year rotisserie body-off restoration to concours level show condition. Every detail was carefully researched in order to bring this rare car back to its original glory. The vehicle is all numbers matching and all the work was professionally accomplished on this museum-quality vehicle. The car is always trailered and stored in a secure, climate controlled facility. It has not been driven since the $120,000 restoration was completed, although it certainly could be driven. Prior to the restoration, it had been in climate controlled storage for approximately 20 years. The original drivetrain consists of a 350/330hp engine, 4-speed transmission and a 3.73:1 rear end. 1 of 4,862 produced, this vehicle has been owned by the seller since 1978. This car is clearly one of the top early second generation Camaros in the country. Finished in the original color of Classic Copper and black using base coat/clear coat, it is simply one of the finest 1971 Z/28's anywhere. This car is a must for the discriminating collector, museum exhibit or enthusiast. In addition to the awards and certifications mentioned previously, the car has a 30-year owner history with receipts.
