Description
Lot #324 - Heartbeat has won many prestigious national awards including the "mid-american division", "george barris award", "best custom at the 1987 grand finale" and the "2000 hot rod magazine award of excellence". Heartbeat has also toured the european show circuit for several years. This radical class roadster is finished in candy cherry metal flake hand rubbed lacquer paint, with painted in graphics. The interior is velour and buckskin leather. With the exposed front fenders and radical design, plus the hide away headlights and the chopped rear end, the new plymouth prowler design engineers were perhaps influenced by heartbeat. Two years went into the building of heartbeat at a cost of some $244,000 dollars and of that sum approximately $30,000 dollars was spent on the chrome and gold plating. The engine is a 427 ci with tunnel ram, dual predators, cherried block and heads. This engine boasts almost 800hp.
