Lot #135 - This original body Corvette was redesigned in 1982 in a tribute to Zora Arkus-Duntov, the Godfather of Corvettes. American Custom Industries built a limited number of Duntov models in white with red interior with Zora's name on them. A previous owner contacted Bob Schuller, owner of ACI, back in 1982, indicated what he wanted to build and was supplied with the parts they used to build the special models for Zora. All ACI models were white with red interior and turbocharged. This Corvette was originally done in brown with tan interior with minor body modifications from the white models, and later restored in 2000 to the black exterior with 1995 Pace Car Corvette graphics done in gray with black and gray interior. Modified from a coupe to a convertible. Many added features besides the Magnacharger twin supercharger, Dakota Digital gauges, chrome Z06 wheels, power driver's seat, custom interior accents of carbon fiber and brushed aluminum, power steering, power windows, power brakes with stainless steel calipers with drilled and slotted zinc rotors, Hooker side exhaust with custom chrome shields and new black Stayfast top. Besides being a rare Corvette, it is a pleasure to drive. 350ci Chevy motor with a 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive. No expense spared.
