Lot #104 - 400cid with a 4-barrel V8. Power brakes, power windows, air conditioning, CD and more. Special Edition package includes: "Hurst Hatch" removable glass panels, special gold trim stripes and emblem appointments, custom velour bucket and rear seats. It's an automatic but the car started life as a manual. The clutch is still under the dash which will allow easy transition to manual. The clutch is not in the way of the other pedals or noticeable. I have owned this car for 4 years and have done nothing to its exterior besides washing/waxing by hand. The previous owner, a mechanic, had the car stripped to the bare metal and had it repainted with a lustrous/glossy Jet Black paint. Original Window Sticker shows the car began life as Starlight Black. The paint job was very thorough (door jambs, engine bay, trunk interior, etc.). The mechanical updates made by me include a new radiator, alternator, master cylinder and high performance tires. It has been adult driven, garage kept and inspection will verify that. The new Interstate battery is one month old. Another recent update I made was to replace the headers. The high-performance auto shop that did the work indicated to me that the car was very well taken care of and is in exceptional condition. The new headers are attached with special bolts that allow for differing temperatures between metals to expand and contract without losing cohesion or integrity. The previous owner of this car did a rebuild of the engine that he stated as "bored out 30-over" so the actual miles are circumspect. I am constantly getting comments from people (young-old, man-woman) about the condition, sound and over all beauty of this car. You will absolutely love the way this car performs and sounds. For the true collectors, I possess the original car sticker, the owner's manual, warranty info, etc. This car is not roll-off-the-floor condition but will satisfy you none the less. Additional features include a CD player with custom speaker system installed in the doors and underneath the rear windscreen. In the trunk is a Pioneer 6-disk changer that needs nominal repair. The back seat has been totally re-upholstered (as of 03/03/08) with OEM material. The front buckets remain original. They are in good shape. Overall, the interior needs some fine-tuning to reach show-quality. The "Bird" on the hood has not been applied because I purchased the car before the previous owner could apply it. I have not done so due to personal desires. The decals are German-style so the bird must be also. This is a fine automobile that will not disappoint. Happy bidding.
