Description

Lot #1367 - 1977 was the last year of the original 3.0 series 930s, and they were considered the best-performing 3.0-liter 930s money could buy. The K-Jetronic fuel system was refined, featuring a higher-output fuel pump, a reinforced 4-speed 915/66 gearbox with 4.222:1 final drive, an upgraded 930/33 transmission to suit the increased 16" wheel size, added ATE brake servo and slightly thicker brake discs. Rear trailing arms were modified to facilitate adjustable ride height, the front anti-roll-bar diameter was increased from 18mm to 20mm, dashboard air vents and a safety door lock/release were added, as was a prominently positioned turbo boost gauge in the lower part of the 8,000 rpm tachometer. This car is finished in Porsche's iconic heritage color of Silbergrundiamant (Ice Green Metallic). It also features highly desirable Sports seats in black leather and full tartan fabric interior inserts in Black Watch Green. Limited-slip differential, electric sunroof and rear wiper give the car all possible options available for a 3.0-liter 930. Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirms that the car remains a matching-numbers 3.0-liter 930 with the original engine and transmission still fitted. Delivered new via a Porsche and Audi dealer in Encino, CA, this Porsche has never left the state of California in all its 36 years. It comes with original owner's manual, warranty book and (as-new) tools. It is fresh off a complete restoration (interior, engine, wheels and body) by marque specialists Truspeed to exact original specification.
