DK BROWN METALLIC
Lot #25 - Factory 4-speed Z/28. 1981 marked the end of the 2nd gen Camaro. This Camaro was assembled at the Van Nuys plant. Delivered to Smith Chevrolet in Turlock, CA. where George and Connie Yandell saw this Z28 for the first time sitting in the showroom. Mrs. Yandell drove the car to and from work for many years before retiring it. The car sold to the 2nd and current owner in 2007. This Dark Brown Metallic Z/28 wears its original paint, except on the nose. Includes complete original VIN matched drivetrain with rebuilt 5.0 Liter engine, 4-speed BorgWarner transmission, original Window Sticker, Build Sheets with one still under front pass seat, factory manuals, brochures and pre-delivery inspection sheet. Includes a thick 3-ring binder loaded with receipts and documentation. Original 30 year old paint is wearing thin in places, but hides no secrets. No rust or body filler on this true California car. The seat covers, carpet and rear package tray were replaced with factory correct replacements in the original materials. Car retains all of its original CA emissions equipment. Factory Cowl Induction hood functions properly. Original exhaust system including original GM resonators still in place. Catalytic converter had to be replaced. All front suspension components were replaced with factory correct pieces from Rare Parts in Stockton, CA. Car rides on correct sized new Firestone P225/70 R15 tires with less than 1,000 miles them. Car handles like it's 1981 and very comfortable to drive. Some of the factory options include intermittent wipers, air conditioning, 4-speed manual transmission, tilt steering, aux lighting, AM/FM stereo cassette and Camel Tan cloth interior.
