Description
Lot #950.1 - This vehicle comes from the collection of Larry Gerig and has been on display at the Corvette Classics Museum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This vehicle was custom-built by General Motors for the pole winner at the 1995 Indianapolis 500. This van was designed to match the Corvette pace car that year. The 1995 matching pace car is also being offered for sale in this auction. Scott Brayton was the pole winner in the 1995 race, but he was killed in practice prior to the race. The van was presented to his widow following his death. This van is the only pole-winner's van ever built. It is truly a customized vehicle and it contains more options than can be mentioned here. Given its history and condition, it is a very unique and desirable collector automobile.
