Lot #1 - One owner, California car in excellent original condition. Ivory Pearl over Ivory leather interior. Always well maintained and drives like a new car. This is an awesome, well-preserved personal luxury coupe at a bargain price.New for the 1993 model year, the Mark VIII was a large, rear-wheel drive grand touring luxury coupe. It was wider and longer car than the Mark VII it replaced. The car also had a longer wheelbase, which afforded greater interior space and ride quality. In spite of its size, the car was slightly lighter than the Mark VII at a little over 3750 lbs. It was also more shapely and aerodynamic than its predecessor. Reflecting its exterior design, the interior featured sweeping curves in its panels and dashboard surfaces. The Mark VIII offered an impressive list of mechanical features. Standard were four wheel anti-lock disc brakes, four-wheel independent suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars and a computer-controlled air suspension which would automatically adjust the ride height to reduce drag at higher speeds. Powering the Mark VIII was an all-new, all-aluminum 4.6 L DOHC 32-valve V8 which produced 280 hp and 285lb/ft of torque. The 4 speed overdrive automatic and 3.07:1 rear axle ratio produced 0-60 times in the 6.9 second range. Additional features include a 140-mph speedo, an electronic message center, automatic climate control, auto headlights, cruise control, leather six-way power seats, power door locks, heated power mirrors, optional moon roof and a 10-disc CD changer.
